3rd Annual REPRESENT Art Exhibition

The Rising Arts Gallery is pleased to announce the Third Annual "Represent Brooklyn" exhibition, rescheduled for November 13th to December 11th 2010.  The exhibition features selected painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media art by artists who work and live in and whose artwork is inspired by Brooklyn.

“Represent Brooklyn” is an exhibition designed to bring together artists, art collectors, art organizations and community members that live and work in Brooklyn.  The paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and mixed media artwork included in the show provides a glimpse of the diverse range of creative style and visual presentation found in Brooklyn.

The exhibition not only brings together important examples of work by a different group of Brooklyn artists but it provides a unique opportunity for artists and local art associations to network and communicate with one another.  Each participating artist will either live or work in Brooklyn or be an active member of one or more Brooklyn art organizations.

A variety of different representatives from each Brooklyn art association will be encouraged to attend the exhibition to promote their organizations.  Local artists are encouraged to attend to familiarize themselves with active local organizations.  Community members are encouraged to attend to learn about local artists and art organizations and the benefits they may offer to the Brooklyn community.
